Thomas and Friends

Wednesday, April 16th, 2008

I can never understand why kids like Barney the purple monster (chloee likes it, not loves it). Perhaps it is the squeaky muffled voice or the chubby face but I felt characters such as Thomas and Friends are more appealing than the big purple monster. Hahaha.. The following videos is 1 of the 2 set of Thomas and Friends train set we got her. The entire thingy runs on one single ‘AA’ size battery under the train. It’s pretty amazing!

And it’s really affordable considering the mechanism in it. We got it from Kiddy Palace for $29.90 for this particular set. See how the entire train works..

Perth, Australia

Sunday, April 6th, 2008

It was Chloee’s first trip oversea and our first as well to Australia. It’s a beautiful place with stunning sceneries.

We took tons of photos and videos while there and would love to visit it again. I’ll be doing a selection of some of the best scenery Australia have to offer soon. Stay tune!

Big Splash @ ECP

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

The new Big Splash @ ECP is quite a place to be. It is no longer the deserted Big Splash it used to be. Not knowing where to go, we pop by and found it abuzz with lot’s of activities.

Beside a big cemented space for inline-skaters wannabe, there are also kiddy ride for little children. We rented a tractor-like battery powered vehicle for chloee for 10 mins. It cost $4; not too sure about prices elsewhere. Luckily they din had people renting it for half-hour block. That would be too long for us.

10 mins suited us fine just because, WE WERE RIDING, not her. Why so, because she couldn’t quite grasp the concept of stepping on the paddle yet. She did managed to step on it by pulling against the steering wheel just so there is enough force on her legs. We were half bent and using our hands to step on the pedal while moving along.

Dancing queen…

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

Chloee did not grow up listening to all the kiddy songs on TV or kids channel. Instead it is “Chen Lei” that she dances to the beat. Look at her dancing away to one of Chen Lei’s popular song, ‘Hong Jin Tao’. Hit the VID to see it! It’s taken quite some time back though.

Credit to grandpa for the dancing moves.. BTW, it’s no longer Chen Lei that she is into nowadays…
